Research Topics

Considering our past, we are predominantly active in a number of engineering, biotechnical and technological areas, such as

Textiles;
Rapig Prototyping & Manufacturing;
Biotechnology: plant production, food & feed; DNA-fingerprinting, GMO analyses;
Biochemics for instance in brewery techniques;
Environmental technology, e.g. waste water management & treatment, purification.

During the last few years, a growing number of research projects was set up and expertise was acquired in for instance human sciences, business, linguistics, health care, social work, music, audio-visual and fine arts.

The research conducted at our institution is mainly applied research. We aim to be very approachable for the socio-economic environment of our region, which results in a substantial amount of contract research for third parties (very often SME's).
